This course is one of Leicestershire's premier parkland golf courses. Set in beauitful surroundings in the South West corner of Leicestershire. A challenging 18 hole par 71 course with easy walking and buggy hire. Kirby Muxloe Golf Club was founded in 1893 and ranks as one of the most sought after golfing venues in Leicestershire. It is best described as a fair 18 hole parkland course featuring a stream meandering through the course and a lake in play on the closing holes.

What a course. Entered an open here at the last minute and got amazing value for money. £15 feels like we robbed them. The weather was great for this time of year (Sept) and many people were commenting on the standard of the course being the best its ever been. I may be biased as I shot the best round of my life and everything came together, but the greens in particular were the best I have ever played, all four of us were sinking puts from distance and these very quick an perfectly true roll. Also if you play here on a Sunday make sure you have a roast dinner afterwards, also brilliant!

Kirby is a fairly tight tree lined parkland course which requires every shot and club in the bag, punishing rough if you're offline and usually trees to negotiate one way or another if you then wish to go for the green, requires good course management as well as the driver is not the automatic club of choice on the par 4 tees, and the 17 with water to carry on the 2nd shot,if you're long enough, goes into a green that is really designed to be approached by a wedge but can hold a longer iron or a high rescue club if you get it right, some good oportunities for risk or reward shots with good greens that are readable but tricky. I like it it's a good challenge, would highly recommend it but would advise getting local info on some tees for the right line as well.
