Cracking course. My friend is a member here so i play it a lot. The course is in good condition and there is a lot of work going into it. So i see a bright future ahead of it. It can get boggy in the winter but every year the drainage improves dramatically.

Hugely improved under new ownership and coming together as a nice course, that is great condition. Bunkers remain a bit variable, and improvement work is ongoing, so will get better and better. Very helpful staff.

TBO i was very disappointed with the course.
Both the fairways and greens were not cut very well and the greens were very slow and spongey.
The general care for the course seemed low with pathways left un-cut and signs between holes no where to be seen.
Positives are that the course has a lot of potential if maintained and cared for and there is an excellent bar serving food after a round.
Sadly for £30 a round i will not be returning for a long while and would only be willing to if the cost was about £12 as iv play council run courses in better condition and for half the price.

Greens have been treated which is why the course rating is down. Bunkers (with the exception of the 2nd, 9th and 18th) have little sand in them. Some of the tees are in desperate need of water. Otherwise it's a very nice place, staff are helpful and polite and the new owners are doing their bit to improve the course.

The course is poorly laid out and even more poorly maintained. There are lots of tee positions that leave you in danger of being struck by balls from different tees/fairways/driving range. The greens on the 3 new holes are in shocking condition too.

A very good layout and well worth making an effort to play it. Not long, although at present the owners are making alterations to increase it's length (I do hope it won't lose the charm)
