What the club says: The Main Course -Set in the magnificent grounds of Killiow Estate this well maintained and picturesque 18 hole parkland course presents a challenge to golfers of all standards. The tranquil setting offers a chance to relax amonst the mature trees, the natural water features and the indigenous wildlife, which includes buzzards, swallows, woodpeckers, jays, dragonflies and of course rabbits.

4 hole academy course -Our 4 hole academy course is an excellent practice facility or a warm up for your round on the main course.

Played this course 5 times over 10 years and it has slowly gone down hill,I have seen better conditions on some pitch and putt courses, the bunkers are a mess, greens very poor, not worth £30 a round.(Played :Sept 4 2014.Score-78.handicap 8.5)

lovely setting bu the course did not live up to its surrounding, poor greens and some un-kept parts of the course, not worth £30 a round (Round played: Aug 2014 - Score: 105 Handicap: 21.5)

Last played course 3 years ago. Set in pleasant surroundings demanding accurate positioning. Price was £25 for a round (which felt edging on high for condition of course then) and now £30 for a round. Sad to see that course seems to have been let go. 8 bunkers (GUR). Other bunkers with very poor sand. Greens looking worse for wear. Tee mats very much worse for wear and tee markers faded. Receptionist not overly friendly. A shame as set in delightful settings for walking round. Almost seemed that visitors being penalised with increased fee to try and cover course maintenance. (Round played: Aug 2014 - Score: 96 Handicap: 21.7)

Play here occasionally as a guest of my dad, who's a member. Much improved in recent(ish) years as they've extended the course and changed the order of the holes to move up from the glorified P&P it used to be. Much better to play in summer, off real tees - the lower holes are a pain in the wet as you can sink up to your ankles.
Not the hardest as most holes are either short or open and it's usually pretty forgiving if you stray from the fairway but a decent, fun round.

Ignore the negative comments, the course was in immaculate condition, excellent fairways and nice greens and tee boxes. Front nine is interesting and quite challenging, however the back nine can be a bit of a grind, a few long par fours - long and straight - of you're long off the tee you should lap them up. Friendly staff and members. (Round played: Aug 2012 - Score: 112 Handicap: 28)

Very friendly club with facilities improving all the time. The course is a good test for all levels of player with many of the holes rewarding those with a strong fade/slice! The practice holes are a real bonus as they are very well maintained. The greens are fairly quick, but not that consistent across the course. In winter, the course has a tendency to hold water in the low valley area. Players will enjoy some tricky par 4s and long par 5s. Something for everyone!

Killiow has improved a lot over the past few years, and is a beautiful course well kept and enjoyable to play. The greens are pretty quick but that is probably due to the weather at the moment, with two of the par 5's over 500 yards the course certainly tests you’re driving ability and short game. The facilities are excellent and it is good to see that they have decent practice holes (which used to part of the original course before it was redesigned). They have a decent driving range and a nice club house. All in all a very good course to play and I would say belong too.

A very tight 1st. The green on the 3rd is ridiculous with it being like concrete & sloping right to left with two tiers, hit your put just an ounce too hard or slightly off course & you'll do well to get it down in 2 from where you end up (basically one of the worst greens in the country). The walk from 10 to 11 is long & up hill. 11 to 15 are very open & exposed add another shot on a windy day. The majority of the greens have no life & are rockhard, and to top it all off from november to may you have to play off mats that are too small & always full up with broken tee ends thus making it extremely difficult for you to set yourself up for your tee shot.

Beautiful course in and around valley (old grounds of country house). Course requires precision for most of the holes. Holes 11 to 15 are above valley, more open, and allow for some error with driver. The setting of the course lures one back to play it year on year. I have yet to master it. Midweek round golf 25 and range balls 2.00 for 50 // 4.00 or 100 Club welcomes single golfers to play.
