I like this course. It may not have a flashy Clubhouse or 5 star facilities, but its a good, honest, value for money round of golf. The layout may lack the drama of some courses, but they've done the best with what they've got and I've always found the general condition of the course to be very acceptable. Hope to play here again soon. Last played June 21st Score 101

As a group of 4 golfing nomads, trying to find somewhere to play on a Saturday morning is difficult and expensive. Found this place a couple of weeks ago and it is a joy to play, great greens, great location and a GREAT price. £20 on a Saturday morning and not held up once, round in 3.5 hours what more do you want?
Hurtmore and Lullingstone are up their on their own as the best pay and play for me.

The course was in good condition considering the amount of rain we have had. However, this has shown up where there are lots of puddles that could have possibly been filled in, which would have meant that certain grass areas wouldn't be trampled down by people trying to avoid the puddles. Overall an enjoyable afternoon of golf.

Nice course in need of a bit of tlc

A short course but with many interesting holes. Some of the greens are tricky needing care to avoid 3 (or even 4!) putts. The course provides a worthwhile challenge for both low and high handicappers. However the course needs some tlc particularly the greens some of which are in poor condition but are nonetheless playable.

Great for learners and all weather

The course is in the Surrey chalk hills, so it is ALWAYS open, even when there's been heavy rain.

This means that the fairways can be bumpy and dry, but recently the irrigation has been installed from 50 yards in at each of the holes, so they are better the closer to the greens you are.

Great place to learn to play before taking on longer and more challenging courses. Bring plenty of balls, the rough is good prep for links courses and can be punishing.

Great

Course in good condition, greens slower than normal but in good condition.
Course may be short but is well laid out with bunkers and water to catch a bad shot.

In fantastic condition, especially considering all the recent rain, drains very well. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. All in all, a great day out at a great facility. Will definitely visit again in the near future.

Started our round at 0800. Everything was going good. Until we reached the 10th. Where we got stuck behind a queue from a society starting on the 10th.
The people in the pro shop were friendly and very helpful. Where as the staff in the restaurant all seemed very moody. Saying that though, the breakfast was good.

Great all year course

Whilst other courses in the area are either closed or only have 9 holes that are playable, Hurtmore is fully open and the fairways and greens are exceptional for this time of year. A definite must if you want to play golf at this time of the year.
