Nice course in need of a bit of tlc
A short course but with many interesting holes. Some of the greens are tricky needing care to avoid 3 (or even 4!) putts. The course provides a worthwhile challenge for both low and high handicappers. However the course needs some tlc particularly the greens some of which are in poor condition but are nonetheless playable.Reviewer Rating

Great for learners and all weather
The course is in the Surrey chalk hills, so it is ALWAYS open, even when there's been heavy rain. This means that the fairways can be bumpy and dry, but recently the irrigation has been installed from 50 yards in at each of the holes, so they are better the closer to the greens you are.
Great place to learn to play before taking on longer and more challenging courses. Bring plenty of balls, the rough is good prep for links courses and can be punishing.

Great
Course in good condition, greens slower than normal but in good condition.Course may be short but is well laid out with bunkers and water to catch a bad shot.

Picturesque views from some of the tee boxes and an immaculate course that was a joy to play.

The people in the pro shop were friendly and very helpful. Where as the staff in the restaurant all seemed very moody. Saying that though, the breakfast was good.

Great all year course
Whilst other courses in the area are either closed or only have 9 holes that are playable, Hurtmore is fully open and the fairways and greens are exceptional for this time of year. A definite must if you want to play golf at this time of the year.Reviewer Rating
