Society golf
Not a bad course value for money wise. Good afternoons golf, but a few blind tee shots which led to sometimes fruitless ball searches. Rough quite deep so beneficial to stay on the short stuff. Beware of gulls pinching balls.Reviewer Rating

Course in Good shape
Despite the rain, very enjoyable round. Most of the greens were quite slow but generally in good condition, the rough is to be avoided at all costs!(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 105 Handicap: 28.2)

Great round
Finished in 3h7m which was pretty quick, course in good condition, rather dry. Ball ran forever.Shame the bar closes at 17:00, and the Pro Shop doesn't sell drinks or snacks.

Traditional South Downs Course
Great test of golf on a traditional downland course. Stunning views from most holes. A lot of effort is being put into this course from new owners post lockdown(Very noticeable work on good greens and surrounds bearing fruit having been left rundown) A little walked on by locals not sticking to paths but should improve as more regular golf traffic plays. Glad to have put this on my golf CV.Reviewer Rating

New owners
New owners just taken over the course. There were at least 4-6 greens in very poor condition . Lots of people walking about the course - having picnics, dog walkers etc.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 94 Handicap: 21.1)

One of the few course that are completely playable after the wet winte
Apart from 2 greens, the 5th and 16th, the course was fully opened and no real sign of the rain that had fallen. Mainly due to Chalky ground which drains exceptionally well. Considering the course was under threat of closure , together with Waterhall (which is now closed for good 31/3/20), the course was being well maintained. Greens were a little long but that is not a surprise considering the winter conditions. As long as it stays open this will be the obvious course to play if other courses are waterlogged.Reviewer Rating

Greens in good nick
Damp dank day - we were warned the greens had been sanded but they played remarkably well under the circumstances. The course is in good condition throughout and we were off temporary tees.
