Golf course review of High Throston Golf Club

Very windy day. This course is so exposed it has wind on a calm day. That said, it was in excellent condition as always. Compulsary teeing up on fairways though but if it helps keep it in good nick then it's not a problem. Still such a shame that the magnificent clubhouse isn't being used

Great fairways and greens. Bunkers could do with a bit more sand OR just avoid them!!! Great value for £20 and very playable even in 30mph wind.

I am adding some more to my last course review, I was at Throston with my Golf Society. I was unable to pay due to leg Injury, all the commets made about No Dress Code were from my golf society members. But I can confirm about a some players playing in sports clothing and sports Trainers I was next to the 9th and 18th greens and next to the 10th Tee, watching to golf.

High Throston Golf Club, We played at Throston on the 23rd April 2011 the cousre was in fair condition and poor club facilities No dress code with some players in sports wear and with one group playing with no tops on (sun bathing playing round the course), We complained with no action taken.

played here a lot as it is local to me tees and fairways are great greens need a little more work and could do with being a little more difficult as they are all fairly flat. great course for high handicappers. think it slightly overpriced for the facilities that are on offer, but it is local and you can always get on with no waiting

Saturday, sunshine, £20, what amazing value. The course and greens were excellent and as an 18 handicapper it was playable and enjoyable. Will play again and agan.

The course was excellent: scenic, well maintained, playable and all for just £20. Will be even better when club house facilities are completed. WILL be playing again.

Good course for beginner or over 20 player, some chaallenging holes, but nothing where you can get into real trouble and lose lots of balls. Greenkeeper does a great job, making it attractive as well as well mown.

course some years away from being truly testing as immature trees as yet do not tighten up the course.this will only develop when these trees mature.

Lovely course, some very challenging holes and the high handicapper will be lucky to come away from this course with more than 1 or 2 pars. Lovely grass on fairways and greens, nice soft sand in the bunkers, and very well kept throughout. The real downside is the lack of a clubhouse to chill out after a round. Decent value for the very competitive price it offers.

£14 per round midweek on what is a very well presented course. Accuracy is the key to this course, as bunkers are everywhere.
