Serious Safety Issues
We were looking forward to our round at Ferndown Forest but sadly had to walk off after just 5 holes to ensure our own safety. The Club has packed fairways next to each other and greens one hedge width away from a tee box. Also many players are still learning so balls are literally going everywhere. In addition the netting on the range is too low and balls are regularly flying out at head height across the 1st fairway. If you were able to view the holes in isolation then this could be a fun course but the risk of being hit by a ball on each fairway isn't worth the risk - particularly when there are many other lovely golf courses nearby. We did raise safely concerns with the pro shop who just shrugged. Definitely wont be going backReviewer Rating

This has always been an 18 hole course where there is probably only space for 12 or 14 decent holes and front 9 in particular is very tightly packed and had been re-configured again since my last visit.
Greens were exceptionally slow and course is in generally poor condition with a lot of G.U.R., though the incessant rain of the last 6 months won't have helped there.
A good course for a little hack around and to get some practice in after 6 months away but I couldn't really recommend it beyond that.
Bar is pleasant enough and served very good food.

Minus: pack too many tee times in so play is very slow. Lots of four balls with only 7-8 mins between tees.
Just feels a bit greedy.

Cheap, but short and not in great condition
An odd little course. Only cost £20 for 18 holes so it is good value, but it is inferior to other local courses. Some very short par 3's made things difficult for me, playing only my second round in the last 15 years, as even my PW was too much club.
The course isn't in great condition, however the rough is forgivingly short.
The driving range is very goof though - many bays with trackman.

Not a classic but some nice holes
Good value but not the most interesting or beautiful of courses. Not always easy to work out where to play as quite flat. But always good to get out.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 88 Handicap: 15.5)
