Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club
Welcome to what many consider is the friendliest golf course in Northumberland. Dunstanburgh Castle nestles in Embleton Bay near Alnwick and boasts to being one of the finest courses in the area. There are holes to challenge golfers of all skill levels and ages. It is a traditional links course, created by the great golf course architect, James Braid. Set amongst beautiful scenery on the North-East coast of Northumberland's Heritage Coastline, you will enjoy a visit which will stay with you forever.

really amazing views! But i found the course quite tiring even tho using ladies starts as i was caarrying my bag and felt the course was quite a distance! High winds really affected game play!

Dunstanburgh Castle is a beautiful course to play on a clear, sunny day. The views over the bay and towards the castle itself are nothing short of stunning. The course was in excellent condition when we visited and the clubhouse is popular with walkers and families visiting the nearby beach.

Greens consistent and reliable. Course condition was very good. The views by the sea were great - holes 10 - 13. Playing first time was tricky as some holes were blind and traps can catch you out. On a sunny but windy day this course is a good example of what links golf is all about.

Lovely course with some nice holes, especially the par 3 13th. Expect to find wind at some point!!

My first introduction to this course saw the fairways were parched brown with little green oasis in the distance. Say hello to links golf.
I thought I'd arrived on the moon when I first played this course but was told that they had had a very hot and dry summer. I now understand that this is what hapens by the sea!
Quite a tricky course in places with a few blind holes and dog legs left but the greens are in tip top shape and this is a good introduction for links golf.
