Cobtree Manor Park Golf Course is located on the outskirts of Maidstone and is very easy to find being just seconds off the the M20. It's easy to see why this venue is one of the most visited courses in Kent, with a stunning 18-hole layout, USGA-specification greens and welcoming Clubhouse with a large decking area adjacent to the 18th green.
The course was built in the 1960s amongst rolling parkland, with several water features integrated into the design of the holes.

was not impressed with this course. For £30 I would expect a lot better for my money. The fairways and the LIGHT ROUGH were fairly over grown. I lost 4 balls in the light rough which was a joke on the front 9. I also found quite a bit of the course very boggy.

Course is varied and interesting and a good test of a wide range of challenging shots.
On the day the grass on greens was very long - although possibly due to recent heavy rain!
Too many rabbit holes, mole hills etc in middle of fairways. Could do a lot better.
Difficult to ascertain yellow marker distances as only red/white distances on card/signs.
Overall though not to bad with 2-4-1 vouchers meant £11.50 game.

very expensive at £30 ish for a round. greens were spiked and heavily sanded in early april so took away from the experience. even so i rate this course at average at best .

Fairways have a large amound of animal damage and divets
Greens have been spiked so makes putting very difficult

played 36 holes on 10/4/2012 the course was in very good conditon, facilities and servces were very good. You can get a decent breakfast and lunch. However i was not inpressed with the greens, you should warne golfers that they have been spiked when they/we book there round or day out.

cobtree is a good course only real negative is that it is quite expensive for non members, greens and fairways generaly well maintained have played there quite a few times and will deffinately be playing there again in the future

Not a bad course, some challenging holes but fairly easy. A good one for high handicappers and great value via teetimes at £11.

Played Cobtree with a very good online deal - I'm not certain it is normally worth £28 but it is a pretty course with plenty of decent holes. Hit it straight and you should be rewarded with a good score - err even slightly off line and you can be blighted by the many trees on the course. So though short, this is still a reasonable test for most golfers of all standards. Clubhouse good, good bar menu and outside seating make this a pleasant place to play

First time we have played here. Quite short with only one par 5 but some interesting holes nonetheless. Tricky par 3s. Greens in very good condition - and not easy. Many picturesque views. Very warm welcome in the pro shop. Bar staff friendly. good menu.
Pity about the traffic noise from the M20. We'll be back.

Very nice course for a public pay and play. It's improved since the last time I was there - 2-3 years ago. Tree lined holes with some good looking ones and a couple of tough looking tee shots - particularly from the whites. Challenging for all standards, although a little short for some low handicappers. Definitely the best pay and play course I've played in the south east. Friendly staff.

As usual on a Saturday Cobtree was pretty slow. As a four ball we had to wait on most tee's before playing. The course generally was in good condition and I really like the layout, although the greens were very slow and were suffering from a lot of use.
