Terrible experience, the club is in the progress of being redeveloped so I would expect the basic facilities to improve soon, the new 18th hole look like it will be a good addition once finished

Sadly however if the club cant manage the course then these changes and investment will be in vain. In total 3 flags were missing from the course on the front 9, the green on the 6th had been vandalised and a log left to replace the flag, bins overturned and emptied on tees, tee markers missing and in places embedded in trees

To top things off as I putted on the 7th just after recovering the flag from the rough a black bird flew down, landed on my bag, pulled out a half open bag of Minstrels out of my side pocket and flew off into the tree above with the bag!

For a club set in an apparently nice area the club appears to have its work cut out trying to deal with the locals, but ultimately if they are going to charge you to play there they have reasponsibility (theiving birds aside) to ensure these things dont happen

The course is very small compared to average course not maintained to the best quality and never see any greenskeepers on the course ever

Lovely beginner course

Greens have really gone downhill, but still a great in between course to take my son on to learn how to play golf.

Not a bad test of your short game and accuracy as there are a lot of par 3s.
It's not a smash driver sort of course, Greens not in good condition as most public courses due to not being regularly maintained during pandemic/ furlough periods.

Pace of play so poor

Played this course yesterday mid morning, Tuesday, 5th March and although cheap rate of ?10, this was reflected in the pace of play. A number of holes were being played by groups of 3 and 4 players of what I would call Senior players. Unfortunately, although asked to let single players through, the response was "no point, there's 3 up ahead and 4 in front of them". Their pace was so slow, that I started my tee off at the first a good 20 minutes later than booked. When this happens, it is difficult to get momentum between holes. This was found by a single player in front of me. The course itself, was in decent condition and course maintenance in progress. However, I shall avoid Tuesday mornings in the future and try later in the day to see if its any better. In saying that I still hit my best score here, but think what I could have had if momentum maintained!
Recommendations are based upon a further visit in the afternoon being better!
