Practice is perfect

Played this 9 holer on the outskirts of Leicestershire. Unfortunately the scorecard is not quite a reflection on the actual holes, the yardages appear to be less than on the card. Great opportunity for practicing and sharpening your mid to short game, the greens in fair condition. Good value for money at ?10 for 18 holes, friendly staff not a place for society or testing your handicap.

Returning round

Played with some work colleagues on a friday afternoon in mid December, very wet underfoot but the course played well all things considered. Its a lovely little course to play if you have around 90 mins as play is fairly quick paced but if you are wayward it will punish you, will be back in the spring

blaby is a short course. It's main redeeming feature is it is very cheap. £7 for 9 holes or £10 to go around twice. I'm fond of it although I have played on better courses. the greens are quite nice to play but not very challenging. staff are friendly.

As I am still very much a hacker I enjoy trying to improve by playing this course. Although a short course I can get a Driver out. The course is improving and gives me the feeling of playing a round in the coutryside rather than in a suburb.

cheap course with some challenging holes notably the 4th and 7th. Greens are frustrating as they are either hard as concrete in the sun or like putting through sand in the rain. Bunkers added recently have improved the challenge, a bit of work by the goundkeepers and this could be a good course.

I think folks are being a bit harsh here. We've all played top courses and paid dearly for the experience ! Lets remember the offer £7 for 9 holes or £10 for 18. At that kind of price I would expect less quite frankly ! The course has a bit of water here and there, decent protection in most areas and delvers greater than you might expect. I play this course about 4 times a year as relatives live close and really enjoy it every time I'm there. Next time your passign with 1 1/2 on your hands or an 80 year old father in law in the back give it a try - you might like it !
