worst course ive played
£24 and a complete waste of money - fairways are terrible - greens need cutting - bunkers are shocking - greens needed cutting - no signage on any hole or in between holes....and then theres the amount of dog walkers walking around the course as it it isnt even open. walked off after 9 holes as it was so bad - AVOID this course at all costReviewer Rating

Gone to pot
Played here on Saturday and was shocked how bad it was.Bunkers was unplayable with no sand, and the fairways mostly had cut grass on them. This used to be my local but I fear it wont last another 5 years and looking at the tee times that was booked for the day apart from the block booking that was 730 to 930 there was only 2 tee times taken after that.Reviewer Rating

this has gone downhill
Well the course used to be pretty good and playable all year. not any more. the place is like a bog. don't touch the ground with your club or you go no where. starter was proper miserable too. When asked are there any mats or temp tees, he just shrugged and said "dunno".(Round played: Dec 2017 - Score: 96 Handicap: 14.5)

dog walkers a real problem
the course it's self is ok the fairways are not in the best condition and I didn't even play the 18th because of dog walkers just standing on the fairway without a consideration that it a a golf course.the course is well laid out getting from hole to hole is easy

A typical council course. Very poor pro shop and no practice/warm up facilities.
The course was very wet and boggy during our round.
The tee boxes were in a serious need of mower as you didn't need a tee to stand your ball up. Fairways also needed cutting and were generally in a poor condition. Sometimes we had a problem working out if we were on the fairway or not!
Bunkers need work. Because of the rain I expected the sand to be wet.
The greens looked good but are very slow.
Back nine holes would be good to play in the summer, but I would wait until late summer to play.
Plenty of people walking around/on the course. We even had two people walk across the front of the second green as we addressed our ball!
There is a café onsite which did a decent range of food.
Overall, I was very disappointed with this course. Seeing as this was a practice round for a county competition I have to play it again tomorrow!
It might be worth playing in the summer, once the ground has dried out. But, I wouldn't bother playing it when it's wet.
