Booked over the phone and got a time, then on arrival found it very busy and more or less overbooked.\On raising my concearns I got the feeling that as I was a visitor I wasn\'t as an important customer as the members! And to be honest found the pro quite rude!!! Course in ok condition , nice quick greens. Won't be clambering for a return visit, my advice is try tankersley. Chalk n cheese!!!!! Disappointed overall, worth a tenner, that's about it for the limes.

V Good Municipal
Course was playing very well considering how much rain we had recently and after drainage improvements. Greens are always tricky especially with a bit of wind. There is a variety of hole types and challenges especially the last four holes which can always spoil a good card.(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 88 Handicap: 19.8)

exceptional greens
A lot of people are put off by the last four holes. But don't let that stop you from playing it.Well worth a visit just for the greens!!! Nothing boring about them and very challenging. Every chance you will 3 putt on a few of them. Rest of course in very good condition (maybe a little more sand in bunkers) well done all concerned at the limes... don't let all the good work go to waste(Round played: Jul 2021 - Score: 88 Handicap: 15.1)

Greens are like carpets!
The greens are like carpets; better than most private courses I’ve played this summer and competitively priced and cheaper than other private courses. Great course to play for a council run course! Great course
Had a great game at the limes, good fairways and the greens are in brilliant order and fast.A Hugh amount of work has been done on this course,Tree work,rough, and dykes have all had attention, but clear to see that they have not finished yet.
All in all an enjoyable day.
I would recommend this course, have a go see for yourselves

I like this course, it has a bit of everything. I am suprised others are not rating it higher. For a council ran course this offers great value for money. Sure there won't ever be an open here, but great for basic golf.

Real challenge
A real challenge for all levels of golfers.Course was in excellent condition with fairly generous fairways but surrounded by trees and plenty of out of bounds. The greens were superb and quite undulated and it was very important to try and stay below the hole as a two foot put could end up 12 feet away if missed. A decent club house with bar and food and a warm welcome from all.

Poor
Not told about a comp in play ended up waiting 25 mins on every tee walked off after 11th hole. The course poor leaves all over temp greens bunkers full of branches from the trees. Course needs a lot more care and I won't be playing here anytime soon.Reviewer Rating

Probably the best municipal I have played!
As always course in great nick and the greens apart from the fifteenth ( which is very slow) are sound!! My only small compliant would be some o the tees are uneven and it is difficult to get a level stanceReviewer Rating
