Woolley Park Golf Club
This is a great course. Though undulating, it's easy walking and drains amazingly well. Designed for all handicap abilities: good and improving golfers will find plenty of challenges but thoughtful course managers will reap the rewards Academy Course/Par3. A great introduction to golf for beginners, juniors, or those that fancy a quick 9 holes. The Academy course has 3 par 4's and 6 par 3's. Course Information
Location
Location: From the M1, Junction 38, follow signs for Woolley. From Northbound, take the 4th exit, or Southbound the 1st (Haigh Village). At the top of the hill go straight across at the crossroads onto Intake Lane, about half a mile on turn right onto Common Lane (Signposted Woolley College). Follow this for another half mile before turning right onto Water Lane (again signposted Woolley College). This takes you through Woolley Village where just beyond you'll see Woolley College on the left with Woolley Park Golf Club immediately after.

Had a lot of snow and rain in the preceeding 24 hours but the course was in excellent condition with all greens in play not bad for February.

A nice course to play, a couple of tricky tight holes, 17th a good challenge. I have been playing here on and off for ther past 3 years, the owners seem reluctant to invest in the course and there have been little or no changes, 2009 saw some alterations to the par 3 11th, but that is all. This course has immense potential with a little thought and investment.

Woolley, for a new course is certainly very challenging but a fantastic venue. Loads of variation with the course, really friendly staff with two "house" dogs who are always on the scout for a bit of attention in the bar area and nice shop.

Wonderful Parkland Course, nice clubhouse, with reasonable pro shop. Staff very welcoming.
Rough very deep and a little too challenging, fairways and greens usually impeccable.
I've only played the course in summer, but there looks to be a temp winter green on most holes.
