The golf course was really stunning, with beautiful landscaping and a challenging layout. The greens were in great condition, and the clubhouse was friendly and welcoming. The price was also very fair.

From the stunning setting to the beautifully manicured course, Woolley Park offers a great challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The greens were in fantastic condition and the signature Mackenzie slopes made the round even more enjoyable. The clubhouse was very welcoming and the price was spot on.

Great course shame about the gun shots...

Nice course and good layout. Well maintained and great greens.
Would certainly play again but not on a Sunday due to constant gun shots from a nearby shoot which isn't the best background noise for playing golf. Other than this a very enjoyable round of golf.

This is a fantastic golf course, some very taxing holes greens are in great condition so are the fairways rough is a little long so quite hard to find your ball if you go in there.

Difficult Set-Up

I had enjoyed my previous visits to this course but on this occasion the greens were so fast and pin positions so difficult that the course was very hard for an average club golfer to score. Only one of our group beat his handicap. Play was considerably slowed down as well.

Very pleasant course

Played in April 22 very attractive setting with generous fairways. Tee boxes and general course appearance very good and greens although recently sanded and tined still interesting if a little bumpy. These will become better in a few weeks. A reasonable walk with undulations but not too steep for us older ones. Would definitely play again and value for money

Very nice.

The course was in good condition throughout, which is more than can be said for my game on the day!
It held it's own when compared a couple of similarly priced venues, Tankersley Park and Waterton Park, which we've visited very recently.
You do need to keep the ball on the short stuff, which I struggled with, as the first cut of rough is pretty "sticky" and beyond that it's hay. The greens were tricky, with plenty of undulations as well as being pretty fast. They were true though and, despite my abysmal score, I don't remember missing a putt from within 6 feet.
The course is fairly hilly, as are most in the area, so it provides a half decent workout for us older players.
Value for money was good at £28/round and the staff and members were all friendly and helpful.
All in all Woolley Park is well worth a visit.

The entire round was ruined by the greenstaff who were cutting and dressing greens and did not move aside to allowi play and therefore we waited on the first 6 holes for them to clear and allow groups in front to play
When we asked if this was to carry on for the round wre told if we didn't like to pick up and leave
Later when asked the way to next tee the response for greenstaff was probably
It must rate as one of the most expensive courses in the area with the rudest staff I have ever encountered
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE COURSE TO ANYBODY
