A good challenge
Interesting course with some challenging holes, and variable conditions can add to the drama. Well stocked pro shop, good practice facilities and friendly staff all make this a course worth visiting.Reviewer Rating

Single Ball
An opportunist round producing my best ever score. Went at twilight time and almost had the course to myself(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 85 Handicap: 24.6)

Nice course
Played on a fairly rainy day, but the course was in good condition, greens were very fast and play was quick as there was not many others prepared to brave the weather.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 94 Handicap: 20.9)

During Winter when everywhere wlse looks uninviting you turn up at Ash
All year round Ashley Wood is a great course, but especially in the months when other course suffer through the wet, Ashley Wood keeps producing an excellent facility to play golf, even when work is being done on the greens they still create a fair challenge and make the day worth while.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 16.7)

Excellent Freens, good fairways
Very exposed so the course can be difficult if it's windy. Quite steep in places and fair bit of walking between some tees so I was tired by the time I finished. Some of the slopes are across the fairway so you are playing the ball below or above your feet.(Round played: Nov 2018 - Score: 91 Handicap: 14.4)

Al;ways enjoy visiting Ashley Woods
I must play Ashley Woods 7 or 8 times a year and it never fails to throw up a new challenge, just when you think you know the course a new venture starts, you suddenly see holes from a totally different aspect, great course to play, love it.(Round played: Nov 2018 - Score: 95 Handicap: 18.9)

Simply stunning golf course!
Set high on rolling Dorset countryside, this course boasts ancient hill fort rings, and views across picturesque rural landscape almost to the Coast. There are plenty of challenges for all level of golfers, with slopes, hills and flat fairways which lull one into a false sense of security, thanks to sunken bunkers and the many magnificent trees which line the course. Holes 2 and 10 are particularly capricious, both offering opportunities to lose the ball off the tee. In some ways, it's a course of 3 parts: holes 1-9 are offer commanding views of surrounding countryside and farmland; 10-13 are set in ancient woodland and are well sheltered from the wind; 14-18 are high on the Downs with a couple of long holes and some tricky bunkers to manoeuvre. Unusually, the final hole is a Par 3 bringing you home to the clubhouse on a gentle slope.Reviewer Rating

Always a pleasure
Ashley Wood is an excellent course in Dorset, always fun to play with a difficult start with two par 5's in the first three holes, but as you turn to the back 9 you have some really good opportunities to keep your score going.Always Friendly and the course in good condition.

Always worth a visit, an all year around good course
Another satisfying day at Ashley Wood, Temperatures near freezing but the course played really well, Millionaires golf PM with only brave soles out on a cold winters day, shame the course is really worth it.(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 96 Handicap: 23.1)

Good course
course looked very good, there was some damage to the first few greens and the rest were very bump and make it difficult to putt, but I'm sure it was just the time of year, will try again in the summer.(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 97 Handicap: 18.1)

Good solid course
A traditional parkland course played onThe 4 holes "in the woods" are looked down on some as "up and back" but I disagree, great holes.
An all-round super club house, well worth a visit!
