HIGHLY RATED - 100% would play again or recommend

What the club says: Arscott Golf Club is situated just 4 miles from Shrewsbury where the Shropshire Plain gives way to the South Shropshire Hills. The topography, therefore, is very interesting and varied, with gentle hills and undulating fairways without being too challenging on the legs. There are pools, large and small formed by the marlpits left by the brickmakers. The 18 hole course has been open since August 1992 but its maturity belies its age.

the 1st nine holes are extremely interesting with some short but difficult holes. then holes 10 to 14 are a little easier with wide fairways and not many bunkers. finally 15 to 18 brings water into play and is an excellent end to the round (Round played: Sep 2013 - Score: 98 Handicap: 28)

First time I have played - lovely friendly club, course in great condition - quite a challenge in windy conditions. 2 closing holes are excellent. (Round played: Jun 2013 - Score: 89 Handicap: 18.1)

Played Arscott first time in 5 years, extremely impressed with the maturity and condition of the course. Still plenty of water, the views are still stunning and the growth of the trees has made the course more challenging. Warm friendly atmosphere in the Clubhouse. Definately worth a visit.

Friendly pro, Excellent greens, The first hole was a bit village but other than that a nice course. Never played in winds like it, creamed a 3 wood on the 3rd into the wind and still come up short. (would usually take a 9 iron off this distance). The wind was blowing the ball off the tee and our golf trolleys over! crazy! Nice quick greens though. The sort of course were you arnt gonna make a score first time round it, but could make a very good score when you have found your feet.
