Awesome course.
8th Dec 2011. wind was gusting at 50-60mph. Driving rain turned to icy sleet by the time we got to the 12th. Greens were true and fantastic for the time of year. Amazing traditional clubhouse. Hot beef sandwich to die, eaten by the real open fire in the bar that was a god send after what was total endurance golf in the most extreme conditions I have ever played in.

Worth a visit

Used teeofftimes and got a game for?20. Friendly reception, pro was very helpful explained the layout. The course is challenging but fair. The condition was very good no issues with tees or greens. Good pace of play, helped by being let through by four members . A strong breeze meant some long approaches, but then turning with the wind gave birdie opportunities.
I didn't have time to eat, but the clubhouse looks good. A change from my usual day at dunstanburgh but I wasn't disappointed.

Delightful course

Visited on a perfect sunny day with little wind, this is a lovely course to play and in excellent condition. It's position close to the sea makes for wonderful views; the out 9 is probably more attractive than the back 9. It must be quite exposed when the wind blows. Some great holes with small tight greens and challenging approaches make for a great round. The clubhouse is welcoming and there is a large dormie house for overnight stays.

Played this course as we were staying in the Dormy rooms at Foxton Hall. Great parkland course with stunning views along the coast. Well worth playing, great practice facilities and brilliant accomodation

A course of 2 distinct 9's. The front 9 provides some beautiful holes with views both out to sea and of the Northumberland countryside. The back 9 is less interesting and not as scenic.

Special mention to the condition of the greens and also the bunkers on the front 9 which had plenty of powdwery sand to splash out of - a rarity in my experience.

Our group played on a very windy evening and I am looking forward already to visiting again on a calmer day, especially if the twilight rate (after 3pm) of £15 is maintained.

Must play!

Alnmouth, or Foxton as it's also known, is a beautiful course, with fabulous views of the Northumberland coast. It's hard, the front nine has some very long par 4s, but it's very fair and a course you won't forget. Always in great condition, and always great to play.

I had the pleasure of playing this course recently and it was in amazing condition. The greens were very fast and true, accepting shots from height very well. The location is great and the value is unbeatable. Highly recommend!

Evening Golf at Foxton

Great round at Alnmouth Foxton with a free 4 ball given to us but Carl struggling to play all 18 as he had hurt his ribs.....I played okay and enjoyed the course with the greens, whilst not as good as Alnmouth Village, still being great to putt on....windy but helped on some of the holes on the back 9

Great Course

Beautiful course, some really long par fours so you'll need to chip and putt well. Even if the golf is not going well, the scenery is spectacular.
