Can't wait to revisit
Played here before we were all forced to batten down the hatches - and I just can't wait to get back in the better weather, when it opens to green fees again.Tight front 9, opening up a tad on the back - there are many holes that look beautiful, play well for golfers of all standards and punish a wayward shot. Greens are like lightning, too!
The wind direction also plays its part - into our faces on 17/18 it made them difficult to score well.
Lovely setting (passing the old Palace a few times during the round is a treat) and a gem of a track.
Definitely the best course in the area and I include its better known neighbour in that - I'd play the Palace over the pricier, less well maintained, 'The Addington' any day.

Excellent condition and tough course
Definitely the best kept and maintained golf course I have played over this winter. Greens were immaculate and fast (@ 12 on stimp). MAnaged to play this before lockdown and there was already social distancing in clubhouse and restaurant areas. Quite a "hilly" course and not for the feint hearted.HAd a 2-4-1 voucher but that was a prise and not usually avaialble so that is why great value.Reviewer Rating

Slick greens
Enjoyed the course but first time I've played on greens that fast and I personally found it tricky when it came to putting. The greens were in excellent conditions and this is definitely not a complaint.Didn't have food or drink there so can't comment.

Great challenging course
This course is excellent. The all year quality of the greens is better than any nearby course. Only minor issue is the variable quality of the bunkers. Good progress made on a number of them but still a couple needing improved.Food and drink is of a good standard at a good price.

Addington Palace
The most incredible greens in the winter pure fast and impossible to believe this is winter. A seriously underestimated course.(Round played: Nov 2018 - Score: 79 Handicap: 14.4)

Open week
Course was busy due to ?Open Week? but we weren't really held up after the first few holes. Greens were immaculate as always, and considering time of year the rest of the course was in good condition.Reviewer Rating

Great Course and worth a visit
A lovely character course, in great condition for the winter months. A really impressive layout with a variation of hole types, from tactically short, to long difficult par 4's. Having played in February after a period of heavy rain, the course was in great condition, and the greens exceptionally fast, and running very true. Looking forward to playing them in the summer. The course can be likened to Woburn Dukes on the back nine. Plenty of challenges for all levels of golfers. So great was the course, that i signed up to membership on the same day with an attractive offer for new members.Reviewer Rating

Fairways were a little bare but the greens are outstanding and the course layout is challenging(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 92 Handicap: 12.6)

Knocks spots off its well-known neighbour
Addington Palace presents a tough test. Tight, unforgiving front nine opens up to more room on the back, although a slip in focus will be punished on any hole. The course is in tremendous condition all year round, with lightning fast greens and fast-draining fairways. The polar opposite to next door's The Addington, which drains poorly and, with the occasional 'Mickey Mouse' hole, doesn't live up to the 'Top 100' hype.
Addington Palace is a tough but fair test of golf - good shots get their just reward, a wayward one usually requiring the golfer to take their medicine.
Some beautiful holes that would grace any course (the Par 4 8th being a prime example), on a Capability Brown landscape, if you haven't played I just can't recommend highly enough.
