This little course has a LOT of potential, set with some lovely Sussex views,
however it is let down by being poorly run and is in average to bad condition most of the time. Being 9 hole course beware playing 18 holes as the owner will shove a 4ball out in front of your 2 ball just as you walk off the 9th.
The greens are generally in poor to average condition, however the course is a good little layout with interesting holes, small greens offset a short yardage, but by no means is a total walk over. It won't take much effort to improve the condition.
Clubhouse is small, but offers a lot for it's size, the driving range is excellent and also has a grass tee area for members. There is a chipping area and putting green, whilst are a truly excellent idea, they have sadly been ruined by two things. 1) the green is on a permanent slope. No way to practice short flat putts. 2) the chipping area isn't representative of anything you play in real-game golf. You only chip out of rough, nothing to simulate fairway or fringe shots, and you can't chip onto the green, so no way to practice roll or check. Seems a great idea, but in practice it is pointless and needs a re-design.
The setup has potential, but lacks quality, we feel it's an expensive 18 holes at the weekend.

Tees and fairways in OK condition. Greens small and tight. Short course with viewing points on 2 holes to ensure play is clear. 1 decent par 5 and 2 reasonable par 4's. Lot's of waiting due to confined space.

Good course to begin on as it is only a 9 hole with limited club house facilities. Some holes are quite challenging.

The Greens are appalling at the moment. Very inconsistant lines and the grass is very patchy. It does tend to ruin the experience which on a whole is good.

Course provides plenty of variety considering its only £15 on the weekend for nine holes. Decent course, worth trying.
