Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club
This beautiful Sussex golf club was established in 1889 and offers two superb courses set in mature heathland countryside.
It has two 18 hole courses - the Old and the West. The Old Course is used by the R&A as an Open Championship Regional Qualifying venue and also hosted the full international match between England and Spain in May 2007.

Great course, and one that I would like to go back and play again. Lots of tree lined fairways, but still forgiving enough for mid and high handicappers.

Not too bad if its been wet. Quite tight on some holes. Very undulating fairways lots of Knolls and hollows around the greens. Hanging lies. Fast greens. Some good holes. 18th a belter.

A lovely course which proves that with good hole design and using the natural undulations of the land, hills and brooks you don't need bunkers to provide a tough test of golf.
Be prepared for hills as playing here is good exercise.
One of my favourite courses and always a delight to be out on it.

Played the west course at ashdown forest today and was very impressed with the course. its not very long (only one par 5)but you need to be accurate. course in great condition and found the greens a challenge. loved playing there and well definately go back especially as i used a 2 fore 1 voucher!

Only played the West Course, not The Old Course. Very user friendly, typical faiways and greens found on forest courses, and while quite short is still a good test. No bunkers to worry about but you may find yourself with a linksy type lie on the fairway.

a real gem although not very long the greens are small and loose drives usualy penalised no bunkers but several ditches and heather
not normally very busy so can be millionaires golf.
