Darren Clarke has used the natural ebb and flow of the setting on the estates grounds here at Castle Dargan. The majestic trees, tracts of gnarled ground and rocky seams accompanied by the ancient stone walls remain.
The result is a quite beautiful golf course of daring beauty located in Sligo. He has embraced the land rather than trying to impose his design ideas upon it. Castle Dargan provides a calming but eerie presence on the horizon which adds to the soulful atmosphere of the resort that has everything you could ask for.
Steven Wood who joined from the K Club last year and his dedicated greens team are on the course before 6 every morning, cutting, rolling and nurturing the course through its development months. Course Information
