Golf Rio Real
Situated in a beautiful valley between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains, Rio Real provides a testing round of golf for all handicappers. The front nine holes are quite tight with mature trees lining the fairways, but it opens up as you enter the back nine. A variety of features are used to challenge golfers such as elevated greens and formidable bunkers. The 4th and 5th are particularly spectacular as they are located on the sea shore with outstanding views of the Mediterranean.Contact Information

Location: Rio Real Golf is situated east outside Marbella. Take the exit road at Km. 185 from the N340 and follow the signposts Rio Real Golf Hotel. The golf course is situated approximately 1.2 km ahead.

This one in relatively flat, compared to other courses in the area, but don't try to walk it. Measuring 6700 or so yards from the Yellow tees, there is plenty to keep you interested. Definitely recommended, despite lukewarm reception at the clubhouse. Played in August 2007, and the only compaint was soggy areas of fairway, etc. from over-watering overnight.
