What the club says: Situated in a beautiful valley between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains, Rio Real provides a testing round of golf for all handicappers. The front nine holes are quite tight with mature trees lining the fairways, but it opens up as you enter the back nine. A variety of features are used to challenge golfers such as elevated greens and formidable bunkers. The 4th and 5th are particularly spectacular as they are located on the sea shore with outstanding views of the Mediterranean.

Great course worth playing
First time playing at Rio Real. Excellent greeting in pro shop. Nice clubhouse. Good practice facilities. Course in great condition, greens quick and true. Some stunning holes. Defo worth playing for sure. Will return hopefully.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful looking course well worth visiting
The course was in good condition however the greens were almost impossible too read and very quick they looked as if they had been shaved Also the course is very testing.Reviewer Rating

Awesome course outside of Marbella
Great holes, wonderful scenery and great challenge. Greens were particularly form and difficult to read although it made the round even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 88 Handicap: 12.7)

Super Course

Best in the east of marbella
Very different two lots of nine holes, the front nine is in my opinion the tougher of the two, and ther is a good variety with some birdie opportunities and some that a bogey is a good resultReviewer Rating

In general, course in need of water, tees, fairways and greens. Some pin positions are in too difficult positions eg 5 and 10. However still god course to play.

Lovely

played April 14, A bit disappointing after having this course recommended to us, The Marshall had us on the clock after the 3rd hole even though we were in touch with the group in front. Parts of the course are very attractive but also some of the tees and fairways cross and this makes it slightly dangerous in places from errant tee shots.
Enjoyed some of it, but overrated in my opinion and not over friendly considering the price.
