Golf Club Overview

Aroeira I is set in a 900 acre pine forest, Aroeira I is renowned as one of the best golf courses in continental Europe. Designed by the famed golf architect Frank Pennink, it has been in play since 1973 and has played host to the Portuguese Open in 1996 and 1997, as well as various Ladies Open Championships in its time. Aroeira's second course is a Donald Steel-designed masterpiece with 18 holes contouring five large lakes. Inaugurated in April 2000, the course has five tees per hole, cementing its suitability for every level of player. Built to European Tour recommended standards, it has hosted the Portugal Ladies Open.

Visitors:

Location: Cross the Tagus bridge "Ponte 25 de Abril". Approximately 500 metres after leaving the bridge turn right - CAPARICA sign. Follow straight ahead on the IC20 until you reach COSTA DA CAPARICA. At the first traffic lights turn left - GOLF sign. Cross the village centre and continue straight ahead, following the GOLF and FONTE DA TELHA signs. Once you reach Fonte da Telha, turn left - GOLF sign. Continue c. 600 metres and than turn right - the AROEIRA estate entrance is right in front of you.
