Golf Club Overview
The Palmer Course is, quite simply, one of Europe's most spectacular courses. It charms, it entices and invariably, brings out the very best in your game. It is unlikely that you will be asked to tackle the course from the championship tees, but this should in no way diminish the excitement of pitting your wits against Arnold Palmer, for, in a sense, this is precisely what you are about to do.Golf Club Information

I played the Palmer course on July 18, 2008 and am in shock and awe at the beauty and difficulty of this magnificent course. But as the previous review noted that it brings out the best, I actually played a very poor round hitting at least a dozen balls into water and therefore 13 over my handicap.
Right up there with the Old Course, Carnoustie, Glen Eagles (all three courses), Kingsbarns and many in the USA. That said, this is still the best course I've ever played.
The other thing noted above "but still you will be unprepared for the ensuing drama" is an understatement. Every shot from every position on this course is a do or die shot, every location on this course is a photographers dream. Sunset over the 18th the day I was there is one of the most stunning landscape photos I've ever taken.
The 7th, 16th and 17th holes are out of this world gorgeous. The Course
