Fantastic course

Greens were being cored and top dressed today, so a bit tricky, but we were only charged for one round because of this, so really pleased. As I've said before, this is hilly golf and it's hot still in October, so be prepared! The views and the course are simply stunning though!

Beautiful course

One of the best, if not the best course in North Tuscany, certainly one of the prettiest. The course is very tight, so accuracy is important, it's also hilly, so be prepared for some effort, unless you get a buggy! The walk is worth it though, there are some fantastic holes, lots of elevated tees, and doglegs in both directions. Food, drink and staff are all exceptional as well. All in all, a near perfect golf course.

It's in the hills in Tuscany which is a good start. A good challenge, not overly long but very tight. In pretty good condition, very friendly staff, great food and drink and again, the views are amazing!

Fantastic course

Play Montecatini every time we come to Tuscany. It's not long but boy is it tight! Don't need the driver all the time, but hit it straight off the tee or you'll be in trouble. Views are amazing and so are the staff.

Hidden Gem

Not so sure how hidden this is, I've wanted to play here for a few years but only just managed it. I thought Le Pavionerre was the best course north of Lucca, but this gives it a real run for the money. It reminds me of hillside courses in Northumberland and the Tyne Valley, Bellingham, Garesfield and Rothbury spring to mind, although Boat of Garten in the Highlands is also a decent comparison. By now, you've probably worked out it's hilly! Book a buggy or electric trolley, we booked hand pull, and it was hard work! The course is essentially two loops of nine, which start and finish at the clubhouse. The first holes on each nine are downhill, but then the return is up hill! Basically, just play this course, believe me you won't regret it, and the staff are great as well.
