What the club says: Castelfalfi Golf Club is situated near the ancient medieval hamlet of Castelfalfi, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Designed by Ing. Mancinelly, the the course has been qualified as one of the toughest in Italy due to its idiosyncratic features and the fact it measures well over 7,000 yards. What makes this course so unique is that you often need play with a downhill lie whilst all the time thinking about avoiding the numerous water obstacles and bunkers.

What an unbelievable golf course!!!! The Mountain course at Toscana Resort is quite simply one of the most stunning designs I have ever seen, with rolling Tuscan hillsides, picturesque lakes and wonderfully sculptured flora and fawna. The course is very long but that is made shorter with the higher temperatures, high altitude, good fast but lush fairways and the longer holes are mostly flat or downhill.
The 9th and 18th are two stunning holes both finishing alongside/surrounded by the same water hazard. 9 is a 180yd par 3 that plays 100ft downhill to a green surrounded by water and bunkers. the 18th is a dogleg right that first plays along a ridge to the top of a hill and then straight downhill on what is a terraced fairway that meanders down the hillside to an island green.
If you're in Tuscany, this is a must play!
