Located 28km north west of Evreux, within the estate of the Chateau du Champ de Bataille, this 6,600 yard par 72 layout is not on the short side. The course is delightfully carved out of mature trees with the occasional strategically placed water hazard and is renowned for being in good condition with excellent greens and fairways. One of the most beautiful and difficult courses Normandy has to offer, it becomes filled with blooming rhododendrons in late spring and is a truly wonderful sight.

Location: On leaving Calais take the A13, exit at junction 24 and follow N138 direction Bourgtheroulde. At Bourgtheroulde, follow N138, direction Brionne, turn left on D83 direction Le Neubourg. Champ de Bataille is after the village Epégard and before Le Neubourg. On leaving Evreux take the Avenue de Maréchal Foch (N13). Continue on this road passing through La Commanderie. This will bring you into Champ de Bataille. Champ de Bataille is after the village Epégard and before Le Neubourg. On leaving Deauville the road signed for Lisieux. This road will lead you all the way to Champ de Bataille. Champ de Bataille is after the village Epégard and before Le Neubourg. Champ de Bataille is 250 kms (155 miles) away from Calais, 85 kms (50 miles) from Deauville and 28km from Evreux.

Wonderful course - scenic and challenging. Only disappointment - the changing facilities about as old and smelly as the chateau in the grounds.

The best course in Normandy in my opinion. Woodland course with undulating fairways.
Daunting for all 1st timers but so enjoyable you want to go back again and again...and again-even with a 24 h/cap!!!. You have to be acccurate from your 1st tee shot to the last putt. Challenging par 3's (eg. picture 5 above is the 17th. - (154 yds white, 140 yellow) over a gully with out of bounds each side and a sloping green!!! fantastic!!!) Get a par and go home happy...
