Golf de Chantaco
Designed by Harry Colt in 1928, this is hilly, tight course that is always named as one of France's top 50 courses. Laid out in woods overlooked by the imposing foothills of the Pyrennes, Chantaco is a good test of golf that has gained a favourable reputation. There are two distinct nines, with one carved through a forest fringed valley and the other dominated by many a water feature and the course has hosted the French Open along with other international eventsNo rating :

Location: On leaving Biarritz Town take D910 and at the roundabout André Dassary take the 3rd exit. Continue until roundabout De La Négresse and take the 2nd exit Carrefour De La Négresse. Once on D254 take the Luis Mariano roundabout and take the 1st exit bearing right onto N10. Continue on the N10 passing through Chaya, Bidart, Guéthary. Once you have entered Saint-Jean-De-Luz at the first roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N10. Continue along on N10 and after 2 kms turn left to Ascain, Chantaco, stay on the left lane. Go straight on D918 to Ascain. After 2 km on D918, entry of the Golf de Chantaco is on your left. The Golf de Chantaco is 16 kms from the Biarritz Airport and approx. 15mins from Biarritz Town
