One of Europe's top 100 courses, the historic Hossegor was founded in the 1930s and was designed by Tom Morrison. A wooded heathland layout, Hossegor is characterised by its many doglegs, tight fairways lined with heather and trees and quick, tricky greens. There's no water, which is not so surprising when you consider this is Jean van der Velde's home course; a tough test in great condition in a beautiful setting.

Location: On leaving Biarritz Town, take the N10. Then take the A63/ E05/ E70 (signposted Bayonne, Bordeaux, Saint-Jean- de-Luz, Saint-Sébastien). Exit at Junction 8 (signposted Capbreton, Hossegor, St Vincent de Tyrosse). Enter Capbreton and follow the D28 Avenue de Verdun. Follow the D28 and take a right turning onto D152 Boulevard des Cigales leading to Soorts-Hossegor. Continue along the Boulevard des Cigales, after the bridge then turn right into Avenue du Golf. The entry of the golf course is on the left of the avenue. The Golf Hossegor is approx.1 hour 20 from Biarritz Town
