Golf de Belle Dune
User rating :

[Ranking 745 from 2671] (1 reviews)
Widely recognized as the finest links course in France, Belle Dune is located amongst the towering sand hills of Fort Mahon Plage on the Côte Picarde. This 6,434 yard Par 72 championship course was designed by the Italian Jean-Manuel Rossi in 1992 and compares favourably with many of the great links layouts in the UK & Ireland. The course has its own special atmosphere, with beauty coming in the shape of some breathtaking scenery, as well as some wonderfully manicured holes. Each fairway is flanked by gorse and long grass, meaning, as with many links courses, a solid strategy from the tee will be rewarded. The wind is also a factor, as the coastal breeze forms the natural defence against low scoring at Belle Dune. The complex itself is a treat for the golfer and non-golfer alike. Belle Dune boasts a covered practice range, golf tuition and a fine clubhouse restaurant. Tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool can also be found on site.Course Information

by Terry Gardner on 5th September 2008A superb course, if a little hilly, and with long walks between holes.
Greens were being hollow-tined and top-dressed when we were there at end of August, but they do this in stages, so we had 2/3rds of the very large greens to play with! The Course

by Adam Shaw on 22nd November 2007Awesome. Up there with the best courses I have ever played. A few daunting tee shots all the way round, and top class greens, even in November. Worth a round in anybodys book

by Andy Kenyon on 14th June 2007Superb course that lives up to its reputation.
Set amongst towering dunes it is a tree lined course with strategic bunkers and water.
Excellent clubhouse with good changing facilities.
Highly recommended - a must play course.
Note club scorecard is in meters not yards. Yellow is 6032 yards / 5513 metres.
I have scan of course scorecard and plan if anyone wants a copy plus a course guide that can be purchased at the club for 4 Euro. The Course
