What the club says: The much sought-after Donald Steel has created, at Château des Vigiers, a unique 18 hole, par 72 championship course set amidst plum trees, oak woods, lakes and, of course, vineyards. It has been designed so the Château is the centrepiece with the 9th and 18th finishing off in front of the building. However, you can see this aesthetically pleasing structure from many of the other undulating greens on the course. Although the course is a joy to play from start to finish, the 18th stands out. It's a dogleg over a ridge with the second requiring a shot over a lake to the green; a truly "vintage finale" to a top round of golf.

9 holes. Par 36. 3423 yards. Parkland / Woodland.

Wonderful setting for golf

The green course (Les Vignes) is quite open but the blue course (Le Lac) is more tree enclosed and with some shorter holes. Le Lac has some very interesting holes especially the last with a 90 degree dog leg left around/across the lake.
weather meant ground was a bog

A good course but excellent surroundings. The 9th hole on le lac course is worth a trip on its own.

Superb condition, beautiful layout with some exciting risk reward holes. Greens were fast and true with challenging undulation. Facilities and food were all top drawer.

Views great, course is relatively well kept, but lots of leaves on course, and also practice facilities aren't great- also very expensive to play

Great place, expensive so good people are coming and not crowded. Beautiful scenery. Boring for children. Great One Star Michelin Restaurant

Fun with three loops of 9. The finishing hole on the main 9 is a real challenge over a lake. Worth playing.

I played here in summer 2007. The course was an very good contidtion and althougth it rained for the first few holes it quickly cleared up and it was a very good day.
There was some building work taking place at the top of the course but it did not distract from the course at all and there was no noise whatsoever.

an open course and good fun,

Went there in October. We were blessed with some fantastic weather. Scenery was fantastic - vines all around. Only played 3 out of the three loops as the third was closed. A relatively long course but fairly open. The rough was not a major problem. Will definitely go back there.
