Another course to say ive played.
A friend and I have made it our goal to try a few more clubs around the West Midlands area and Wishaw was a club we came across while looking online.First impressions were good, nice practice area for putting and chipping. Smallest changing rooms ive ever been in, but clean and tidy, all youre after really!
We played from the yellow tees and were surprised when the first green had been hollotined. We were not made aware before we began our round but thankfully this was the only green effected.
The course itself is interesting. I feel with a little bit more attention it could be a real gem. Hole 11 stood out, the hazard in front of the green was seriously lacking in water. The grass sides were also very overgrown. With a bit of a tidy up and some water the hole would look amazing.
The course was challenging without being unplayable. Neither of us performed well and struggled into a strong wind for a lot of the holes.
Its a course i would recommend someone play, but i feel it lacked a bit of personality and some holes were placed just for the sake of it, rather than being thought out well.

Course was very wet but still playable. Course is in average condition for time of year but still quite challenging, love the new eleventh hole not played this before as it has been about 18 months since playing Wishaw previously.

Quite hilly in places.
Usually in good condition, however, some areas can be a bit soft underfoot.
Nice clubhouse.
Good Society venue.

The course is under going redevelopment and several new holes are due to come into play early 2008. At present it can be a little congested around 11-14 but the new changes will eliminate this. The club house is satisfactory and offers reasonable priced food and drinks.Reviewer Rating

Welll Worth a Visit
After unprecedented wet weather the course has remained open with 16 holes playing. Tee box’s and Greens in great condition, fairways understandable with the grass a little longer than normal.Should take a couple of week to return to normal playing conditions.
