Quick Links
Wishaw Golf Club
The course is an 18-hole parkland course; the par of the course is 70 and the yardage is 6069 yards.
The course provides a good test of golf with some excellent water features that come into play.
Flag Accuracy is important with some tight driving holes and dog legs. There is also an abundance of wildlife, wild flowers and mature trees, which make it an enjoyable walk.
Our signature hole is the 10th being 393 yards par 4 with the approach shot played over water onto a large narrow undulating green. Contact Information

A deceptively trickey course, due partly to the size of the greens, some are minute. Club house is friendly with good food.

Played several courses recently and Wishaw is most proabably the best condition of them all. Very impressed with the greens on this occasion. They are busy making changes at the moment

This is a course of 2 distinct parts. Holes 2 to 8 looked like they had been hastily arranged in a farmer’s field with tiny greens and scruffy tee boxes. The remainder of the course was more mature and very enjoyable, with the Par 4 10th hole, where the second shot has to be played over water to a distant green, particularly memorable.
The clubhouse was very pleasant with a beautiful outside seated area and staff in the bar and pro shop very friendly. The Course

Provides an enjoyable game of golf for mid to high handicappers.
Quite hilly in places.
Usually in good condition, however, some areas can be a bit soft underfoot.
Nice clubhouse.

Since the new holes have come into play the course runs alot more smoothly.
As I like to get the Big dog out, I'll never learn!!, it gives plenty of opportunity to rip it.
Then it gives you plenty of opportunity to get it back into play...lol!
The greens disappoint me, only a little, They don't take a spinning ball well. It may be because i've played when it has been dry for a while.
The clubhouse is nice, not overcrowded. The shop is small but good, the staff seem freindly.
One member nearly ruined it for me as he whistled at me like a dog when i walked into the bar with my cap on....get a life. He was politely reminded that he would struggle to do that again with his fingers shoved up his @%$*!!!
Overall a good course that i will continue to visit and even consider joining as the fees are very reasonable. The Course

Played here after about 10 days of rain and found the course to be in tip top condition, greens were very well looked after and were probably best I've played in a long time. All the holes were different and very interesting with hazards such as water and fairway bunkers coming into play a lot of the time. A very well designed course. We were made very welcome by the staff here.

The course is under going redevelopment and several new holes are due to come into play early 2008. At present it can be a little congested around 11-14 but the new changes will eliminate this. The club house is satisfactory and offers reasonable priced food and drinks.

Nice course, two big climbs, the 9th and 18th, a couple of the water features are bland but that should change as they mature, greens well kept and excellent food and drink in the clubhouse. Downside - yardages are a bit dodgy, at the 10th hole the white and red tees are in front of the yellows and the yellows are still on a mat, could do with a couple more signs for the next tee on a few of the holes. All minor stuff really that didn't spoil a good days golfing.
