Awesome
The course is in fantastic condition from tee box to green, and meanders through woods with great views, there is some walking between holes but it doesn't distract from your round. There are some long par 4?s but overall it's a great test of golfReviewer Rating

Great course, good value!
Played here following a friend's recommendation and will be sure to thank him via SMS shortly. We paid £30 each for a lunchtime tee-time and found a great and challenging course in excellent condition. The track is built in rolling countryside and gave us a decent workout (thank goodness for electric trollies!).
Would recommend a visit to anybody.

Great Condition and Value
Such a lovely course when in this condition. We paid ?25 for this course and would certainly come back again (and again). Some great layouts and the fairways were cut immaculately. Three of our four ball had never played there before and thought it was one of the best courses they had played ever. Certainly one you should visit and enjoy if you are local to the course. We will be going there as a society in the next few months and we cannot wait !Reviewer Rating

Excellent
Played on a very warm July Friday afternoon. The course was in very good condition. A little hilly in places with plenty of interesting holes, nothing that could really be described as straight up and down. A good selection of tees to play off that test all skill levels. Greens were very good even though they'd been lightly sanded. Would recommend. A good putting green as well as excellent practice facilities.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 88 Handicap: 19)

Accidentaly Amazing Discovery
Came across this place by accident when searching google for 'best value' courses in the UK. Waterton park subsequently popped up on a Golfshake list of the best UK courses with green fees under ?50... and it's only 30 minutes from where I live, so thought I'd give it a try.I should point out at this stage that UK green fees are a major source of frustration for me as I think they're a huge barrier to people getting into golf and don't always reflect the quality of a course, but rather the clientele that course is aiming to attract.
Paid ?67 in total for 2 green fees plus buggy hire after an exceptionally warm welcome from Scott in the pro shop. He looked like a man under pressure with 12 jobs on the go at once and a phone ringing off the wall but couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming.
Having played the first few holes we were exceptionally glad to have chosen the buggy as it's undulating to say the least... this is not an easy walking course so I recommend hiking boots if on foot. That said, the layout is great, the course is in amazing condition and the views across and alongside the wonderful lake are spectacular. Indeed, the first par 3 we came across was a stunning hole with a shot across a ravine... it looked like the tee box and green had been cut out of the hillside. I had to keep reminding myself that the green fee is only ?22.50 each (I believe there's also a Thursday afternoon special offer for ?19). That's staggering value for money.
Playing off the blue or white tees you need to be striking it well to make a good score as a lot of the par 4s are 400+ yards and play uphill into the wind. That's not a criticism by any stretch, just an observation... there were a couple of periods where I don't think I used an iron for around 6 holes with driver and fairway wood or rescue being required to get anywhere near the green!
All in all it's outstanding value for money and I rate this place higher than many courses I've played with green fees in excess of ?75. Will definitely be back as it's so refreshing to come across a course of this quality with a green fee around the ?20 mark.
