Waterford Castle Golf Club
A unique island golf course surrounded by the mighty River Suir and accessed by private ferry. Designed by Des Smyth, Waterford Castle Golf Club sits on a 310 acre island enclosed by water. The course runs to 6,231 yards and has four major water hazards, on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 16th holes. There is even a Swilken Bridge on the 3rd hole. The views from the course are superb and the island can also boast a plethora of wildlife and fauna.

Course Information
Location
Location: From Cork N25. Take 3rd exit at roundabout past Waterford Crystal. Straight over next roundabout, continue for 0.5 mile through next lights. Straight over next roundabout and through next lights. Turn right at T-junction, bear right at mini roundabout and continue on to the Dunmore Road. Continue through next two roundabouts passing the shopping centre on the right and the hospital on the left. Turn left after pedestrian crossing and continue on this road until you see the ferry crossing for the island and Waterford Castle Golf Club. From Dublin N9. Turn right, at the train station roundabout, on to bridge over the River Suir. Turn left at next lights on to the City quay. Continue down the quay in the left-hand lane, past the Tower Hotel. At the lights immediately after the Tower Hotel turn left on to Dunmore Road. Continue past the park and bear left at the college. At the first mini roundabout turn left. Continue through next two roundabouts passing the shopping centre on the right and the hospital on the left. Turn left after pedestrian crossing and continue on this road until you see the ferry crossing for the island and Waterford Castle Golf Club. From Rosslare & Wexford. Turn left, at the train station, on to the bridge over the River Suir. Continue with the directions as from Dublin.
