Played a few courses in Devon now when visiting family. This course is the best in my opinion by miles. The staff can't do enough for you, unlike other places who obviously don't want your money when you try & get a round in. Greens are superb and the course plays different every time.
Will be back again in the future

Wow what a challenge, if you can hit accurately you'll have a great time here, it was our first links course and it was so different to the plush greenery of Buckinghamshire we loved it. Natural coastal land with lots of punishing gorse, but very green greens that were difficult to read but very fast. Very fiendly club members. Woukd love to play again.

I've played Dawlish a few times this year and it's great fun - a really interesting little course - varied holes - fair degree of difficulty - classic links golf - fairways and bunkers rough but greens good and views fantastic - great holiday golf!

First time here was very hard to play. I have to agree with the review below hard to find the ball if you miss hit. Also it seemed all 18 holes was packed into a small space. When going around the groundsmen was sanding the greens and put temp hole in front of the green and wasn't told about the course repairs.

Played at the Warren today (28/10/20)
£20 green fee.. very good value... a golf course with character.. challenging in the conditions (windy and wet) but a traditional and quality links course. Great scenery and greens that were true and good paced. Worth a visit. Anchor Pub 10 mins away also good.

Nice course shame about the weather!

Nice course, pick and place on fairways which looked fairly rough but had soft tops so could get decent hit on ball, greens excellent, finished front 9 before the rain absolutely p?d down and got soaked, course flooded quickly and although we carried on was probably unplayable, last few holes rain stopped and drained quickly, 18th green is odd, looks like once was a practice area and been added on as an after thought red

Lovely

We played on on a chilly but calm bank holiday Monday. We arrived 30 mins before our tee but unfortunately the kitchen wasn’t open for a coffee or breakfast but the pro did let us go out early. The pro was very pleasant and informative, defo knew his stuff. The course is great, tight but as holes run along side each other you can spray it about to some degree. Some great holes on the back nine needing you to tee off over the sea. Greens were good although very flat. Overall really enjoyed this course and for £22 can’t grumble, also lunch was fantastic after.

Challenging links esque course. Tricky if not the longest course.

Excellent Greens

First 8 holes the fairways were very dry - back nine much better - greens are truly excellent - Interesting start and finish to the round - friendly club and bar. Excellent value (£20 each for a three ball using county cards). We play off 12, 12 and 18 - challenging holes

Great Course, not to be judged by the 1st hole (Looks very poorly kept as you arrive). However once out on the estuary this course really takes off, some very interesting holes with blind tee shots (White tees). Greens were in immaculate condition, rolling true and quite quick. Friendly welcome in the clubhouse, great value, would return for sure!!!

Just a fabulous place to be at the same time as playing golf, we were on our own in the estuary for what felt like ages. Quirky for sure and not easy despite the length.

Really interesting links course which challenged all of our group of 12-28 handicaps. The views are incredible, the fairways tough to find, and the greens in consistently good condition. The clubhouse/pro shop is dated but everyone was friendly. Decent value at £35 peak rate. We'll play here again.

Having read the other reviews our group were looking forward to playing this links course and agree the greens are excellent but as for the rest of the course but were dissapointed after hitting good tee and fairway shots to see the ping pong like bounce rendering good shots unplayable in the heather and gorse. So I cant say this is a must play course unless you like PAIN when you dont deserve it.
