A challenging links test

Dawlish is a wonderful course which you have to play a few times to really appreciate. There are pot bunkers located on the fairways which you cannot clearly see from the tee, which you really want to avoid. Apart from the spectacular views and scenery, the greens were in magnificent condition and are superb for putting on, all credit to the green keeping staff. I have played numerous courses in Devon, yet Dawlish is certainly one of my favourites.

Great Course, not to be judged by the 1st hole (Looks very poorly kept as you arrive). However once out on the estuary this course really takes off, some very interesting holes with blind tee shots (White tees). Greens were in immaculate condition, rolling true and quite quick. Friendly welcome in the clubhouse, great value, would return for sure!!!

Played a few courses in Devon now when visiting family. This course is the best in my opinion by miles. The staff can't do enough for you, unlike other places who obviously don't want your money when you try & get a round in. Greens are superb and the course plays different every time.
Will be back again in the future

Really interesting links course which challenged all of our group of 12-28 handicaps. The views are incredible, the fairways tough to find, and the greens in consistently good condition. The clubhouse/pro shop is dated but everyone was friendly. Decent value at £35 peak rate. We'll play here again.

A great 'Sea Turf' course where you have to be accurate from the tee or you are going to lose balls. The greens on this course were superb with putts that seemed to roll smoothly on forever, the rolling, undulating fairways were also great. They looked untouched by man, with a nice spongy 'Sea Turf' feel, apart from the 7th which was completely flat and looked out of place. The few members we met were very friendly and so were the staff in the clubhouse. We highly recommend you play this course if you visit this part of the coast.

£20 green fee.. very good value... a golf course with character.. challenging in the conditions (windy and wet) but a traditional and quality links course. Great scenery and greens that were true and good paced. Worth a visit. Anchor Pub 10 mins away also good.

Nice course shame about the weather!

Nice course, pick and place on fairways which looked fairly rough but had soft tops so could get decent hit on ball, greens excellent, finished front 9 before the rain absolutely p?d down and got soaked, course flooded quickly and although we carried on was probably unplayable, last few holes rain stopped and drained quickly, 18th green is odd, looks like once was a practice area and been added on as an after thought red

Lovely

We played on on a chilly but calm bank holiday Monday. We arrived 30 mins before our tee but unfortunately the kitchen wasn’t open for a coffee or breakfast but the pro did let us go out early. The pro was very pleasant and informative, defo knew his stuff. The course is great, tight but as holes run along side each other you can spray it about to some degree. Some great holes on the back nine needing you to tee off over the sea. Greens were good although very flat. Overall really enjoyed this course and for £22 can’t grumble, also lunch was fantastic after.
