Centurion Park (Wallsend) Golf Club
Centurion Park Golf Club, previously Wallsend Golf Club, is in a prime position just off the Coast Road in Newcastle. When you step onto the well established parkland course, it is hard to believe that it is only four miles from the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne. As you make your way round you can see how the designer has made clever use of the land’s natural contours.

For a former municiple this is a well kept golf course. Not long but some tricky holes. A bit expensive unless you're with a member and their are other courses in the area that are better for the same price.

First off, Don't listen to the reviews about gale force winds and heavy rain.. It doesnt matter what course your on if its weather like that then you wont like it regardless.
This course has recently been taken over and is far better and more secure. Car parking is great, the clubhouse "happy gilmores" is very welcoming. and for £20 a round £14 off peak the price is good.. The course is the type of course that if your a good golfer you will be able to shoot a good score... nice open fairways nd the rough isnt that rough and you can easily play out of it.... The greens are all pretty flat so putting isnt a massive challenge... For me this is an ideal course for anyone whether your starting out or your a pro after an easy game...
The staff are nice and the overall review could be set at very good......
The downsides.... maybe some holes are a little too easy and plain and some have mantione dits not a long course compared to others but I personally like that..... i hate courses that add an extra 30 -50 yards onto a hole just to make it sound better but they arnt. The Course

The course was taken over last year from the council into private ownership and has improved a lot. The club house is now very modern and serves good food and drink.
More importantly a lot of time has been spent on the course and the new owners are ensuring that the old problems with kids trespassing are becoming a thing of the past.
Well worth a game now.The Course

Came here for my stag weekend last November and we thought we'd arrived at a prison camp. The barred and locked locker rooms were scary enough but when we were told not to leave our clubs unattended on the 14th because there was a hole in the fence and kids were likely to nip in and steal your clubs we nearly turned around and left.
Despite first impressions the course played well, after some heavy rain, and could have been a lot worse - no one had their clubs nicked.
Food - if you like chips you'll be at home.
The only bonus is that you can get back into Newcastle and get into Buffalo Joes to see the Cow Girls in action. The Course
