Our attractive par 71, 18 hole course at Waldringfield was created in 1983. The course is located on the south bank of the picturesque River Deben, half way along its navigable length from Woodbridge to Felixstowe.
Designed by P. Pilgrem as a 9 hole course, Waldringfield was extended to 18 holes in 1987, creating an extremely picturesque heathland course which has developed into a veritable golfing gem. Now measuring 6,085 yards from the white tees it offers an enjoyable challenge to scratch golfers and beginners alike, as well as being particular attractive to older golfers given its flat nature and the ability to hire powered trolleys and buggies. This is a course I have played several times. Never failed to enjoy a round on this rather tight and challenging course. The greens are great as are the bunkers but BEWARE THE GORSE BUSHES.
Only a very small negative, don't turn up in any bright colours. I was asked to remove what I considered to be a very understated Blue Adidas Rain Jacket because the stripes were of a orange colour. The guy in the club shop was insistent that this sort of attire would upset the members and that unless I had another top then I would not be allowed in the course.

play breakfast golf great value for money. £17 with bacon roll whe you arive, and a full englisg breakfast when you finsh yum yum

This is a heathland golf course, near Woodbridge in Suffolk. Although not a long course, it represents an excellent challenge, due to its tight fairways and many gorse bushes. The greens are among the best anywhere in East Anglia. There is a well-stocked professional shop, the bar staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is very good.
