The Isle of Tiree is famous for windsurfing and corncakes, one of Britain's rarest birds, but there is also the unique Vaul Golf looking out over the Atlantic Ocean. The course is situated two miles from Scarnish and half a mile from the Lodge Hotel, a real golfer's hotel.
As with most Scottish island courses the setting is remote, but that is certainly part of its appeal. Interestingly, there are no trees and no water hazards, just your own ability to contend with.

Just back from spending a week on the lovely isle of Tiree - the Vaul course is looking good, I think we must have played 10 rounds over the week we were there!
Pop into I&F MacLeod's (local grocers) to arrange a round with one of the local players!

A great course (albeit a challenging one when you factor in the wind and the sheep!) on a great island.
Top tip - get there in the summer via plane from Glasgow and play until late, with a meal in the Lodge afterwards!
