A nice course with some unique holes particularly on back 9. A bit for everyone, nice greens, a few long holes a few tight holes. A great deal at £20 for a round. Nice club houses as well.

We played this after the greens had been hollow tined and had a discount accordingly. The greens were consequently quite poor. A few of the holes were not to my liking - ran out of fairway with a 1 iron off the tee on long par 4s a few times , puts you onto long second shot territory in a contrived way. That said the professional was very helpful and friendly.

Played at Trefloyne this weekend and the course is in fantastic condition and just gets better year after year. The staff were excellent, the facilities first class and the restaurant serves great bar food and fine locally sourced produce in the evenings (especially fresh fish) in the new orangery restaurant. The new Coach House rooms are exceptional 5 star accommodation and with the new driving range opening in the next two weeks you couldn't want for more.

Often overlooked due to the quality of a certain championship links course that lies nearby, Trefloyne is possibly one of the most underrated golf courses in the south of Wales.

A warm and friendly welcome is received from the members and the atmosphere derived from the somewhat unorthodox and slightly unusual clubhouse sets you up for what is almost certain to be a pleasurable days golf.

The opening tee shot on this golf course is an immediate test of concentration and course management. With 'out of bounds' down the left hand side and trees on the right, an accurate tee shot is a must.

The opening nine holes at Trefloyne require high levels of concentration, but hit the ball well and you will be rewarded with plenty of birdie opportunities.

The start to the back nine is similar to that of the front, with a strategically placed tee shot required off the tenth tee. Well placed tee shots on the opening holes of the back nine will leave you with relatively short irons into the greens, and the opportunity to give yourself the best chance of making birdies.

The signature hole on the golf course is the long par-4 13th. A lay-up is required off the tee, and then a long iron over the quarry to a relatively small green is what is required from the second. With 'out of bounds' down the right hand side and anything left flying into the quarry, this tough and challenging par-4 is undoubtedly the most difficult on the golf course.

The closing holes require well-struck golf shots to cover their length, and with plenty of internal 'out of bounds' and a lengthy par-5 to finish, high levels of concentration are required to the very last green.

Overall, a very good golf course with a clubhouse to match, unfortunately let down by the lack of practice facilities and the overuse of internal 'out of bounds'. Worth a visit, but if I was to go back I would prefer to pay the extra to play Tenby golf course.

Course is undergoing some work so I didn't see it at its best. Also it was wet in places due to heavy rain over the previous few days. Played some holes off mats.

Nice layout of course with some challenging holes. None more so than the 570yd 18th into the wind.

Not bad value at 18pounds.
