Location: Leave the M25 at Junction 29 (A127). Take the A127 towards Southend to the B186, (only 200 yards). Turn right at the top of the slip road towards Upminster. Follow for approximately 2 miles to a mini roundabout. Turn left towards North Ockendon. Follow this road for approximately 2 miles. The 1st road on the left is Fen Lane. Played a 2 ball mid June 2011 at just after 3.00pm, firstly I would like to comment that the club is fantastic value for money at £30 between the two of us which included the hire of a buggy
I have played this course a few times recently and feel it gets better each time I play it, there is a good selection and variety of holes which will challenge high and low handicappers alike.
The greens didn't play as fast as normal today but that may be down to the recent heavy rain which actually helps as you can have a go at the hole without it racing 10ft past, all the tee's were well maintained and the fairways and rough were in excellent condition, and all in all it was another good experience and very very good value for money, I would certainly recommend that you play this course as once you have you definitely will time and again.

Very hard to find a fault with this course, greens played very quick today!! For £16 on a Sunday it's great value. Wont be carrying my bag round though next time? A must for anyone who likes a challenging golf course, but very enjoyable. Will be playing here agian in the not so distant future.

Probably the best value for money golf coarse in Essex.We payed £16.00 on a weekend and in midweek that also comes with a breakfast.Many different holes with nice fairways and most greens in good condition .It was very windy when we played and this made it very difficult as the coarse is quite open.Its very difficult to put anything negative about the coarse and facilities.

A good course with a good selection of holes, plenty of laying up needed on some of the holes, a few doglegs and some reachable par 4s. Good value for money with a very nice clubhouse that gets very busy for sunday lunches with the locals. I would recommend this course but be aware when its windy because it is very open!! One down side is the greens can get a bit patchy but still playable.

At this time this coarse is in great condition ,we paid £16.00 on a Saturday afternoon and i have to say its worth every penny it knocks spots of the other coarses in the local area.Its a test for all handicappers but if you keep the ball in play a low score is at your mercy.When other coarses are charging over £20.00 a round Top Meadow deserve a pat on the back.The food and bar are also yet another plus to playing this coarse.

What a loverly course greens and fairways are in very good condition. Its a course where accuracy rather than length is important although the back nine is over 650 yards longer than the front with three par fives on it. You also get a fryed breakfast included with the green fee which at £16.00 was great vaule.Its a course i will definately be playing again soon.

A great course with some demanding holes. Greens were in tip top condition when we played. A nice thinking players course where accuracy prevails over distance. The pro shop and club house are 1st class. The fees are very reasonable as well. Thoroughly enjoyed playing there.

Played the course today for the first time, nice course, a few challenging holes, and the 18th, although short, has a difficult carry over the water, with a tree guarding the green too so beware of wayward shots! Very reasonably priced at £16 including a good breakfast, and the twilight rates of only £8 are a fantastic bargain! Very enjoyable overall.

Good value 18 holes incl breakfast for £16.
Fairways good but greens poor....either patchy or been run over by buggies !!
But some work was evident...new tees being laid...groundworks too...but didn't distract from the round...worth a visit

First time I have played it, a long walk between a lot of the holes, the greens were a bit dissapointing although I would defiantly go back, very reasonable prices.

Top Meadow is one of our favourite local courses and represents great value for money.
The course on 23/08/2010 was in lovely condition and a credit to the groundsmen. the small breakfast included in the greenfee is sufficient to set you up for your round without blowing you out. Always a good experience

To be honest with the ammount of rain we had had was supprised it was open, just about playable on most holes except 14 which was like playing through a lake short of the green

£16 for 18 holes anf cooked breakfast very good value, was very slow round due to groups going out early. Took nearly 4 1/2 hours for our 2 ball which was painfully slow.

Nice challenging course. Some very good holes that require a bit of thinking. Not too expensive and all rounds include a breakfast in the price. Course always seems to be in good condition.
