Rapid greens
We all gathered for our triannual family trophy here at Thorney Park. Weather was good but a tad cold and blowy but sunny neverthe less. 20 players (10 bandits) A good narrow course, unfussy in its layout and set amongst the throng of the M25, Heathrow and a very busy Railway. £39 plus Bacon roll post 12.00 on a Saturday I thought was a little steep but hey the service and food was very good. Course played well on the fairway but the greens were super quick despite the rain we have recently had. Nice to catch up with family but tournament was won by first timers in the memorial trophy which...is suspect.Reviewer Rating

Superb parkland layout. Some challenging holes and interesting features. Every score has to be earned. Excellent value for money and I will definitely be going back to have another crack at it.Reviewer Rating

Noisy and parallel
Payed a decent £20 for a late afternoon round. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were all looking very good indeed, but apart from the 7th par 3, not many holes were that memorable. 3, 4, 5, and 6, and then 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 all run alongside each other up and down which gets a bit boring. Found the 18th to be a bit of a disappointing finish as well, set away from the clubhouse, the 9th would make for a better closing hole. There can also be quite a lot of background noise from the M25 motorway, planes from Heathrow and the Great Western Railway. Staff were pleasant enough, but seems a bit of a stupid idea to require a key code to get out of a very standard car park. Had a lot of similarities I feel to Richings Park just a few minutes down the road, but RP offers a bit more of an exciting round.Reviewer Rating

There are some holes that are fun to play combined with holes on which one can score well.

Decent course
Generally well kept course with good variation and facilities. As a visitor I would prefer some sort of pictoral representation of the holes with there being multiple unsighted flags from the tee.
