Fantastic little course if you want to practice your irons. Course still looks pretty young but will grow nicely. Nothing really challenging but nice walk in the country. nice friendly staff.

Great course but short, especially on the front 6 holes. Opens up to a great course.

The 18 hole here is great too. Wide fairways that are forgiving. Will improve as it matures. Trickey on a windy day.

Great little 9 hole course if you want to practice your irons, no chance to get the driver out, but good fun, perfect for the beginner.

If you live in the York area Swallow Hall is a must visit. It is a pay and play course with both a 9 hole and 18 hole courses available. I would recomend the 18 as the 9 is really a pitch and put course. The price is fair
On the 18 there are several new and challenging holes with water hazards and dog legs. A well managed course by the groundskeepers.
For the experienced golfer please be patient. In my experience, a lot of rookies (myself included) attend this course and may not know full golf etiquette.
I would also recommendstaying after the round to try an sandwich and pint, or even book yourself into the sunday carvery if you want to make a day for it.

Short, flat and narrow for golfers of all abilities - Pay and play without booking a tee time and you should be able to get round in a respectable 2hrs 30mins
