Sunningdale Golf Club
Sunningdale’s Old Course, which opened in 1901, was laid out by Willie Park Jnr....
It is pure enchantment that characterizes Sunningdale Old. Virtually every hole is played in splendid – and beautiful – isolation, and in harmony with nature.......There is subtlety here, a measure of drama, and a wealth of that one indispensable ingredient, pleasurable excitement......No wonder it may be the most beloved inland course in the British Isles.
All that being said, there are those who like the New Course, which opened in 1923, at least as well…The New is perhaps a bit more rugged than the Old, a bit more masculine, if you will...... This is rich and handsome and challenging golf, Harry Colt in top form.Contact Information

Well, what can you say that has not already been said. Everyone should play the Old Course at least once and September is a fantastic time of year. Will definitely look to play the new Course during 2011.

Absolutely majestic. Sweeping fairways, elevated tees, tricky greens and tough bunkers. All holes are memorable. To add to that, the sun shone on us most of the round! Glorious.

An amazing place to play golf and a fantastic reminder of why golf is such a great game! We played it in the afternoon, after some heavy rain in early March and the greens and fairways were still in great condition. Preferred playing the front nine both from a design and scenary perspective however there are great holes throughout with my favourites being the 5th, 7th and 12th.

What a truely magnificent course. We played it early in the morning on a beautiful autumn day and had the course to ourselves! The course is more difficult than you think with long carries but it is in superb nick and i can recommend the Half Way House!!

Slightly disappointing this time around - greens hollow tined recently and bunkers inconsistent (to be fair to SGC they did give us a complimentary green fee to compensate). From my experience (this was my second visit) the "wow factor" was lacking this time.
