Set in 140 acres of beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, Staverton Park was opened in 1977 and has matured quickly. The 6,602 yard championship standard course has a number of lakes and over 60 bunkers peppered round it, while its large, suspended water table greens allow consistent play all year round. With over 240 bedrooms, Staverton provides conference, training and seminar facilities, which are used by a range of blue chip companies for product launches, staff training and company days. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, solarium and gym as well as other activities such as volleyball and pool table. The self-contained clubhouse is conveniently located between the 9th and 10th holes and is a great place to relax with a drink on the patio after your round.

Strongly recommend this course, not too expensive and relaxing as not huge numbers playing there.
Good variety of holes, bunkers in good nick, greens pretty fast.
Not much water but mature parkland, that said, away from the fairway you'll usually have a shot on.
Club shop being refitted at moment, but range good and place pretty friendly.
Went to get food between front and back 9 and didn't get any service, but other than that strongly recommended.

Played Staverton in February 2011 on the GTour amateur golf tour.
I really like playing Staverton as it has plenty of interesting holes,not just ones you can blast a driver at.certainly gets you thinking about all your shots.

Always a course I enjoy to play, well laid out and a nice fair test of golf not too tough but many risk and reward holes if you want to have a go at posting a score.
Played in Oct 2011, given previous days rain the course was in excellent condition with lush fairways, true and responsive greens and all round very well maintained.

Highly recommend a visit to a course in a central location.
Played here as part of the 2011 Golfshake Open, fairways were lush, green slick and course well maintained and especially so given it was the end of October! Walks aren't as bad as some reviews suggest and our groups got round in under 4 hours 20 mins.

The course was in great condition,the best I've seen it.
Some really nice holes with great scenery.
Greens were quite good as well for a change.

along with many others on this site i played here in the golfshake open.
Again a decent course, with a couple of stand out holes, but not many that really make you want to dash back.
The undulating terrain disguises the fact that there are too many up and back holes side by side.
a perfectly enjoyable course but no real soul.

Reasonable course but long walks between tees especially from 9th to 10th plus groups going off every 8 mins meant a long and frustrating round. Some interesting holes and good but slowish greens. Too corporate for my taste!

Clubhouse modern and large, poor choice of food!
Pro shop is very poor, not much to buy and the scorecards were just black and white printed on card. No yardage charts, at the printers!!
Driving range, large putting green and a chipping/bunker area. The range is OK but the mats were awful. I did notice some pallets of new mats waiting to be put out.
The course is very nice but it's hilly so you could be puffing a bit.
The greens didn't look that good but they were true and pretty fast despite being wet.
A long walk from the 9th green to the 10th tee.
If you can get a deal then this place is worth a visit.

Very popular with societies. The two weekends I have stayed there the course has been packed. So much so that we have to finish on the 16th on one round. If you are not a fan of a 5 hour round then avoid this course at the weekends. Generally it is a fair test of your game. Not too long but tricky enough. We had 2 rounds, accommodation and breakfast for about £80 which was a fair deal.

We took the crown golf society anstey here for our presidents day outing.
A very good course in excellent condition. A very tight knock round.
You need to play strategically to benefit round staverton.
A very tight leaderboard on a tough day & I won with the highest winning score
All season, which tells you it's a tough one.
A very highly recommended venue very much worth a round!

Played here in a gtour event and was pleasantly surprised with the attractiveness of the course overall. Undulating and this is what gave the holes something quite special. Quite tight in places and the premium is on accuracy and not length.

as this was the 1st venue for g.tour, they could not have picked , a bette course to start the tour with. been a mid/high handicapper, i found this course, enjoyeble to play, and the view off some of the tees ,was really good, and inviteing, and am looking 4ward to playing their again, well worth a visit bye any golfer. i am sure we will come across better courses ,in due time , but for any golfer wanting a good days golf , staverton park , is the place to go.
