A superb mixture of parkland and heathland, with stunning views over Lancashire and surrounding counties. The course measure 6411 yards with only two par fives and two par threes (one of which measures over 200 yards), Stand Golf Club represents a fine test for all standards of golfer.
For many years the course has been the envy of the area, with superb fairways and greens. The course is playable all year round. The signature holes are the tough 4th, 9th and 10th, with the par 3 13th a picture in spring being surrounded by bunkers and rhododendron bushes.Book a Tee Time

A good challenging course with variety of holes with well kept greens and fairways. Must rate as one of the best courses in the area

played on fri noon for £12.50 with an on-line booking pro was friendly and most accommadating giving us a few tips on where the course went club house excellent you just cant beat it

Played here in the rain 18/11/07, course was waterlogged and quite a few greens had surface water on them.
Was told after that the course drains very well and is the only one in the area open all year round, problem stemmed from a deluge of rainfall overnight.
However I'm going to give a good report because this course is fantastic, it is well designed and provides a challenge to all abilities, plenty of uphill and downhill shots to the greens which are expertly protected by bunkers, also good use of doglegs. The greens were in great shape considering the water and those that were dry ish were fast and true (must be a nightmare in summer
).
Irons only off the 18th tee as the clubhouse is directly ahead at 231yds.
Clubhouse inviting and friendly and food/ale first class.
£40 at weekend but due to the rain we got it for 1/2 price.
I will definately be going back.
