Golf course review of Pike Fold Golf Club

Although it was quite wet when we went, the course more than made up for it. Quite a few water hazards but generally open and flat. Still a testing course, well worth a visit and will definately return.

Played it after a week's worth of rain had fallen on it, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were few, if any, waterlogged patches on the course. I had expected one or two after previous comments I'd heard.

The course is very open and the back 9 is certainly better than the front, but overall there are few memorable holes to make you want to rush back.

I liked the 12th hole, which is a dogleg right par 4 where you play your tee shot up a hill to the fairway, and the par 3 16th is quite a nice hole too, but generally the look of the rest of the holes are pretty much similar to each other.

That isn't to say that this isn't a course that's worth playing, as the fairways and greens were all in very good condition.

I didn't really use the clubhouse and so can't really comment on that.

Good varied layout with some challenging approaches. Greens were nicely kept. Course will benefit from a few more years maturing but enjoyable round.

This was a very pleasant surprise. My brother lives a few miles from here and never knew it was there. Got on before the comp on a saturday, very good value. Greens are very well kept and true, course has nice variation. Fairly open as its new and thr trees are mostly young, some really good holes and will look forward to going back soon.

Probably the best quality course in it's area. Whilst the course is relatively new and the trees need a few years to grow & mature to cause any seroius hazard, there is still plenty to make you think about which club to pull out of the bag? The greens are US PGA standard and are just superb. The 15th par 4 is my pick of the course. A very friendly welcome is guaranteed to all.
