A lovely course, immaculately kept - I can see why it's ranked in the top 50.

People will tell you that Silloth is hard, it is, but don't let that put you off. It is beautiful, and a truly excellent links course. Keep the ball straight and don't try to hit too long and you'll be fine, just it's easier said than done. A must play course.

Fantastic course which is unbelievable value for money. If this was located anywhere else it would be at least double the price. Each hole was unique and felt isolated from the rest of the course, which made for a great golfing experience. Only minor drawbacks were a couple of weak holes - a short par 4 on the turn in particular and the 18th was a bit unremarkable but I guess this just shows how good the rest of the course is. All in all a fantastic, challenging, links golf experience.

Quite out of the way but well worth the trip. Fantastic traditional links, excellently maintained where it should be but rugged and punishing where YOU are NOT supposed to be! Great views of the course and surroundings especially from the elevated 9th tee. Which was probably my favourite hole not least because I managed a birdie!

We played Silloth as a 3 ball on 14/3/2013. We received a friendly welcome on arrival and pointed in the right direction to the first tee. Mats were used from all tees, but the course was playing full length from yellows with the exception of two holes. The course itself was in great condition and is awesome on the eye from the elevated tee positions. A classic links course, tight fairways and undulating tricky greens. Other than a few wet patches on fairways, they were also in great condition and mats were not required. A fun day of golf on a great golf course!

Tremendous Links course and well worth the trek to play it!! The wind makes the course an even bigger challenge but it is always perfectly presented and greens amongst the best I have played.

A true test of your golf skills and one of the best priced rounds for the quality of the course.

Middle of nowhere, but a cracking course, played in Feb and course was in top condition, they were rebuiling the sixth green hich I believe they have now finished. When the wind blows its very tough, we were hitting six iron into 130yard par 3!

Classic Links course which - sadly - we encountered with ll it's teeth bared! I've never been out in wind to fierce let alone played golf in it!
That said, it didn't stop us appreciating what a magnificent and challenging sea-side course this is - picturesque in every way from the rolling landscape to the views across the Irish Sea. Worth a visit despite it's remoteness!

You will not find a better value for money course in the country. You CANNOT get away with anything that is just slightly of line and you need to think your way around the course or it will make a fool of you. I loved this course so much as it tested my golfing brain and challenges you not take to many risks. So much so I have just been accepted as a member.
