What the club says: This Championship Links has been in existence since 1895 as a members owned family club and proud of it. It is a traditional links out and back layout on quite a narrow site adjacent to the Gibraltar Point nature reserve in Skegness, Lincolnshire. Seacroft is a championship links and has hosted many regional and amateur competitions over the years.

Loved this course. Although you can't see the sea much on this links course, the greens are tricky and offer a real challenge. I probably loved this course more than others because I scored well on it. Would love to go back. (Round played: Aug 2014 - Score: 96 Handicap: 22.6)

Played the course as a society for a full week, Greens in great nick very true with great roll. The fairways were just starting to brown slightly in places due to the excellent weather, the wind changes made for a very enjoyable test of golf. This course is right up there with some of the so called top links courses. The bar staff at the 19th hole made us very welcome with a smile never far away, only down side was the attitude of a few members towards the staff, dont realise how lucky they are.

Could do with a water system then this should be more challenging with some grass on it (Round played: Sep 2013 - Score: 95 Handicap: 19.2)

I play Seacroft 2 or 3 times a year and always enjoy a game there. When the wind blows it is a real challenge as it should be. The greens have always rolled true when ever I have visited be it winter or summer. The food and facilities are excellent so there is always something to look forward too if the course is winning. If you enjoy links golf then its one to put on your list with testing par 3's of varying lengths. Booked for the Xmas pairs competition there which is always well attended and great food afterwards.

Just played Seacroft after hearing about it for some time. Unfortunately due to the good weather iot was very badly burnt off so the fairways were terrible. They had hose lines on some fairways trying to water very bad areas but it is a hopeless task. They need fairway watering. This spoilt the trip. Otherwise it seemed an intersting links course but not at the same level as Hunstanton for example. Will not rush back

Brilliant true links course, friendly staff, easy to use online booking system. Friendly membership and really nice facilities.

The course was in fantastic condition, the greens ran true and were firm but receptive to a well struck shot. The course was a great test, though in summer will no doubt be a harder proposition once the rough is long.

A thoroughly enjoyable day, and a bargin at £25 for my round. Just watch out for the wind, the back 9 played very long and hard back into a cross headwind. (Round played: Mar 2013 - Score: 93 Handicap: 13.5)

Very kind links course, you could miss a fairway and have still make shots to the greens. Some really good holes, the 7th Par 4 which is a blind second shot beside the road (that loads go over/onto), the 8th all along the side of the road, where you need to land close to the road to be able to see the green and the Par 5 9th, again with a green beside the road. Greens were fairly slow but quite true. The club staff were wonderful and very friendly indeed. £30 for 18 holes and a Full English Breakfast, great deal! (Round played: Nov 2011 - Score: 87 Handicap: 14.8)

Tight course with some interesting blind shots. Bunkers are deep but placed sensibly and have adequate sand to allow decent shots to be made. Enjoyed the course

6 of us Played seacroft on april 30th. My first taste of links golf. I thouroughly enjoyed the course and the day. The greens were in excellent condition and ran very true. Luckily I only had to play out of 1 bunker. However, it was quite daunting as I could barely see over the lip so I guess it was approx. 6 foot deep!!. Some of our party weren't so lucky and had a few problems getting out on occasions, to much amusement in the bar afterwards.......... We paid £48 each which most of the group found a bit on the expensive side. I think this was more due to being surrounded at home by excellent courses such as the warwickshire, stonebridge, Hellidon lakes to mention a few where tee times can either be booked on-line or with vouchers making them a lot more reasonable £15 - £20 ish. I personally didn't mind paying the price as it was a one off for a golf break. However, we had such a good weekend there was talk on returning next year. I would definately recommend the course for all playing abilities although if the day was particulary windy (we were quite lucky on that score) the course could be very tricky for higher handicaps.

Wow I love links golf! Just fantastic... worth the trip to Skegness alone. New facilities with no car park so don't be put off by first appearances. However, like many classic old links courses it was 9 out in a straight line and 9 back... fortunately there was no wind for us otherwise 100+ scores were likely. Brilliant - worth every penny!
